What's up with this? I read through the article and the SBE Program Guide. The problem I see is that it really limits the time the customer has to grow. Does anyone have a valid reason for this change. If a customer has an SBE and buys a large company after 120 days and decides they like the ShoreTel solution and wants to expand they have to buy a new system?? |

Hi Ian, just to clarify - the 120 day restriction is that we don't allow the upgrade any *sooner* than 120 days. Dieter Rencken Snr. Product Mgr ShoreTel |

Thanks Dieter, for clearing that up for me. We have some customers we went into with SBE that have multi-site and larger enterprises that are "testing" the product in hopes to eventually deploy it enterprise wide. When I read it I got the impression that it had to be upgraded within the first 120 days. |

Dieter, can you explain the reasoning behind the restriction? |

We found that some partners were abusing the SBE promos by purchasing them with an Enterprise upgrade to essentially sell an Enterprise system. We do recognize that a business may start small and expand their operations later and so starting with SBE and going up to Enterprise over time is a supported scenario. |
