I want to write an application that interfaces with our ShoreTel system.

For example, I want to write code where I push a button in my application and it dials a phone number and connects it to my extension.

I know the API, or TAPI, or COM library exists to do this. How to I get started using it?

Hi Jarad,

i would start with our Professional Services organization, there you can get the SDK

Thank you Brian.
I just tried to login there and it says I don't have sufficient privileges. I've contacted my ShoreTel partner and hopefully that will be straightened out soon.

In the mean time I am reading http://media.shoretel.com/documents/developer_network_system_interfaces.pdf

Joining the Developers Network isn't free, and you have to join to get the SDK. You don't get it just by being a customer.
