I'm trying to share network connectivity between a network printer and Shoretel IP phone. The printer works fine but I cannot get the Shoretel phone to go live. I've tried both regular Cat5 and cross-over and am at a loss here.

Any help is appreciated!

What are you using to power the phone? ShoreTel phones require PoE (802.3af) in order to boot up. This means your netgear needs to supply power (not all models do), or you need a power brick inline between the phone and the switch.

That model does not appear to provide PoE on its ports. That means you will either need PoE power bricks (from your reseller), or a different model of switch (ie. FS108P)
