ShoreTel with FASTFAX

We are using FASTFAX as an SIP/FOIP Fax Server. FASTFAX is using BrookTrout SR140 for communications. I have been working with our VAR and so far, the constantly noted to me that FASTFAX is not supported. Ok, I believe that, but as it used the BrookTrout SR140 SIP Service, shouldn't it work? 90% of my faxes go out fine, but 10% return with an FAX Error message 'Brooktrout: No loop current detected' what tells be that the call went out, get connected but then before the fax could be sent, the line disconnected.

Is there a way to configure my BrookTrout SR140 Configuration to if will work nicely with ShoreTel?

My other option is to use our SG24A with a DMG1000, but that is getting a FAX in on FOIP to convert it to analog the convert it back to FOIP? That does not make sense to me.

If I need to use the SG24A, how is the CPID send? What format?

Thank you for your help.
